Elizabeth had written her will twelve years earlier in 1865. She left $300 to improving a new cemetery in NewMarket, New Hampshire, $500 and her real estate to her sister Ellen P Champion, $500 to her sister Abba A Bennet, $500 to her sister Ruth W Paul, $5 to her brother William A Shackford, a watch to her niece Martha Abba Paul, a silver spoon from her deceased brother George Seth Shackford to her nephew George Shackford Paul. and appointed her sister Ellen P Champion to be her executor.
Elizabeth had 4 other siblings who predeceased her: Samuel Adams Shackford, died 1864; Mary Ann Shackford Wiggin, died in 1849; Martha Lane Shackford, died in 1832; and George Seth Shackford, died in 1863.

Be it known that I Elizabeth B Shackford of
NewMarket, County of Rockingham and State of
New Hampshire single woman considering the
uncertainty of this mortal life and being of
sound mind and perfect memory blessed be
Almighty God, for the same do make and publish
this my last will and testament in manner
and form following that is to say.
First I give and bequeath for the improvement
and fitting up of a lot in the new cemetery at
NewMarket N.H. the sum of three hundred dollars
I give and bequeath to my sister Ellen P Champ-
ion the sum of five hundred dollars.
I also give and devise unto my sister Ellen
P. Champion all my real estate.
I give and bequeath unto my sister Abba A
Bennett the sum of five hundred dollars.
I give and bequeath unto my sister Ruth W.
Paul the sum of five hundred dollars.
I give and bequeath to my brother William A
Shackford the sum of five dollars.
I give and bequeath to my niece Martha Abba
Paul my gold watch.
I give and bequeath to my nephew George
Shackford Paul my silver spoon marked G. S.
Shackford - the remainder of any silver spoons.
I give and bequeath to my sister Ellen P Champ-
ion.
I give and bequeath unto my sisters Abba Ruth
and Ellen all my household furniture beds and
bedding and books to be equally divided between
them. And lastly as to all the rest residue
and remainder of my estate whatever after paying
all my just debts the before mentioned legacies
and my funeral charges. I give and bequeath
the same to my sister Ellen P Champion whom
I hereby appoint my sole Executor of this my
last will and testament.
In witness whereof I have hereunto set my
hand and seal this second day of October 1805.
