Angeline does not appear in the 1850 census with Amaziah Shackford and her birth would have been before Amaziah and Adeline were married so she is most likely not Amaziah's daughter.
We suspect (but have no proof) that she may be Angelia S Shackford, the daughter of Issachar F Shackford and Abigail Pressey who was born about 1838 in Roxbury, Massachusetts. We believe (but have not yet found proof) that Angeline's father Issachar died about 1839 when Angelia was about 1 year old and that her mother married Samuel Whitten. We find an Angela S. Shackford living with the Samuel Whitten and his wife Abigail in Alfred, Maine in 1850, and an Angelia S Shackford with parents Issachas & Abigail Shackford married Edward M Rice at the age of 20 in 1859.
We suspect there is some relationship between Amaziah Shackford and Issachar Shackford because of the Alfred, York, Maine connection. Perhaps as we learn more about Amaziah's father Amos, and Isschar, we'll may be able to help determine if it is Isschar's daughter Angeline who was living with the Amaziah Shackford family in 1855.
