Perhaps this blog and a new SHACKFORD genealogy Facebook page may be picked up in someone's search engine or Facebook search. Perhaps those who find this blog have information about the SHACKFORDs that came before us and would like to share that information with other SHACKFORDs.
Writing in a blog fomat should help me create more of a description of the life of an individual SHACKFORD. This description may help others (and myself) better undertand what it might have been like to for that individual live in the United States as it was being formed before 1776 or after it we were a nation.
Sharing the results of research in this format may create input from others who might have better ideas about how to research or present research resuults.
Lastly, there is something personally gratifying about starting a blogging journey focused on merging genealogy reseach with descripions of the lives of past SHACKFORDs. When I started genealogy research, the structure of connecting people in a genealogy tree appealed to the engineering side of my brain, As I learned about the lives of these fascinating people I developed a desire to learn more and more about the historical setting in which they lived and what I could about their lives.
I hope to use this blog to share that love of combining genealogy and family history research.
