SOLDIER'S HOME. - The regular weekly meeting
of the Board of Managers of the Soldier's Home
was held yesterday afternoon, in the rooms of the
Young Men's Christian Association, the President
T. B. Bryan, in the chair, Mrs. Shackford acting
as Secretary.
The Committee on the Rest reported that during
the week 1,379 men had been furnished with 3, 379
meals.
The Committee on the House reported the death
of one man during the past week. The House was
progressing well, and a splendid dinner was pro-
vided on Thanksgiving day, which was done full
justice to. The great lack just now was for crock-
ery or its equivalent in tin ware, for the table. The
matter was referred to Mrs. Hoemer and Mrs. Long,
with power to act.
